Leighton Moss N/R
Sun ,24/08/2008Three days to wander around the moss and take it all in, seven hides in total and nearly all completely different.First to catch my eye was the Marsh Harriers a real treat to watch and a first for me then the Little Egrets building in numbers possibly a county high ( 25 to beat soI am told), Redshank/Greenshank all there in good numbers then a couple of Spotted Redshank, another first.Down to the two hides near the coast for Snipe,Red and Greenshank, Blacktailed godwits, Curlew and a Wood Sandpiper plus the ducks and swans . No Bearded Tits or the illusive Bittern what a great excuse for another trip.
